BODY SWEATS is a choreographic project that asks: does queer ballet exist? If so, it dances on the ridge between deconstruction, desire, play, and political reflection. It borrows from ballet not to reproduce its aesthetics, but to test it as a corporeal and cultural archive to be traversed, deformed, and rewritten.
The title cites the poetry collection of Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, a Dada-feminist artist, who writes of a body that sweats, exceeds, and rejects form. Sweat is the trace of a desire that escapes control, a physical language that can open new trajectories of meaning.
