Vorreië ca scisse la lunë (I wish the moon would rise) is a performative concert born from research into the work songs of the Abruzzese tradition — communal songs tied to labour, gesture, exertion and everyday ritual. The research explores chorality as a generative practice: the voice multiplies and stratifies, creating a soundscape that arises from a single body to become plural. Performer Marinella Iezzi inhabits a physical and sonic space that transcends day and night as perceptive and affective states, in which song dissolves into breath, gesture, trance. Movement emerges from the traversal of different states of presence, continuously generating new postures and imaginaries. Vorreië ca scisse la lunë is a listening field that offers an other time — circular, like labour, like gestures that repeat, like knowledge that endures.
