3 – 4 SEPTEMBER
6:00PM – 8:00PM
Cost: free
Registration by e-mail to info@irainstitute.it
Deadline 25 August
The workshop, originated from the performance RISE scheduled for IRA Festival, is addressed to 10 locals aged between 18 and 50, with or without specific dance skills but curious to explore their own possibilities of movement and collective composition.
RISE stems from the observation of the crisis that comes from the disconnection between the individual and the community, from the widespread difficulty of experiencing belonging to a community and the need, which has never been quenched, to rediscover a WE.
Participants will have the opportunity to share the company’s rehearsal process: simple exercises to prepare bodies for movement and composition, the activation of a body that is open and willing to create collectively and to develop reciprocity and harmony in the group, and listening to different musical and rhythmic proposals in order to elaborate together the compositional potential arising from the relationship with music and between bodies together with musician Dan Kinzelman.
