RESIDENCY PROJECT FROM 19 APRIL TO 12 MAY 2025
Fireworks fascinate with their ambivalence. Their explosion evokes celebration as much as war. They unite as much as they startle, blending fear with excitement. Drawing inspiration from the images they conjure and memories rooted in our collective consciousness, Derniers Feux focuses on the moment just before the explosion, a suspended time from which dreams emerge.
Surrounded by dancers and musicians, Némo Flouret conjures up this sense of turmoil, this grey zone, buffeted by opposing winds, capturing the full beauty of pyrotechnics: expectation, anticipation, hope, frustration, astonishment… To the sound of trumpets, broken melodies, and shattered rhythms, their relentless, continuous dances exalt the present, as if the show they are piecing together were indeed their last, forever.

In memory of Pierre-Yves Flouret (1937-2025)
Némo Flouret is a dancer and choreographer trained at the Conservatoire de Paris and the P.A.R.T.S. school. He works at the intersection between disciplines, inviting the group to explore a multiplicity of spaces with each new project, from post-industrial ruins for 900 Something Days Spent in the XXth Century (2021) to Antti Lovag’s utopian architecture for Dance Parc (2024) and the Denon wing of the Musée du Louvre for Forêt (2022), co-created with Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker as part of the Festival d’Automne.
